How to Apply for Renewal

All professional learning credit documents submitted for licensure renewal must bear the following information regardless of format (certificate or transcript):

*Please note: Ten contact or clock hours of professional learning is equal to one CEU credit. The inclusion of both contact hours and Continuing Education Units on a certificate of completion that are not in accordance with the CEU formula may not be considered for renewal.

Official Transcripts for Completed Coursework

All transcripts from all institutions must be submitted directly by the university or college electronically in a secure electronic format via National Student Clearinghouse, Parchment, or any other transcript exchange service provider. For efficient document-to-applicant verification, please request that the institution include the following information as part of the official transcript: 1) your date of birth 2) the last four digits of your social security and 3) your first and last name as it appears in your educator management system account. Transcripts uploaded in your educator management system account will not be accepted for licensure review.

Electronically submitted transcripts

National Board for Professional Teaching Standards

Submission of the letter from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards specifying the date (MM/DD/YYYY) you completed the process or renewal. The date must be within the renewal cycle of your current educator license.

School Business Administrator

Continuing Education documents are submitted to the Office of School Financial Services for review.

Career and Technical Work Experience

A letter provided by the employing school district verifying required hours have been met. The letter must be composed on district letterhead and signed by the Principal, CTE Director, or Superintendent.

School Executive Management Institute (SEMI)

SEMI credits are sent to the Office of Educator Licensure via your educator licensure management system account by the SEMI provider(s). The certificates do not need to be submitted electronically unless otherwise requested.
